Tracy Watts

Senior Partner and US Leader for Health Care Reform, Mercer

Tracy Watts is a partner in Mercer Human Resource Consulting’s Washington, DC, office. A consultant with Mercer for over 20 years, she leads the company’s health care and group benefits consulting segment activity for the Mid-Atlantic, the Southeast, and the Southwest. She also leads Mercer’s health care reform consulting segment resources. Ms. Watts specializes in health care cost management, assisting employers in the design, evaluation, and ongoing management of health and group benefit plans for active and retired employees.

Ms. Watts is a spokesperson for Mercer’s National Survey of Employer-Sponsored Health Plans, a survey of more than 3,000 employers across the United States. She is also a Mercer spokesperson on health care reform. Over the past several years, she has been quoted in Business Insurance, Money Magazine, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and USA Today and has appeared live and in taped interviews on numerous national and local television news programs. She has been widely quoted on health reform issues and has written articles on the topic for HRO Today and AHA News.

Ms. Watts is a member of the National Business Group on Health National Leadership Committee on Consumerism and Engagement. She is also a Mercer representative to the Council on Employee Benefits. Before joining Mercer in 1987, she was employed in the benefits department of Diamond Shamrock Corporation in Dallas. Ms. Watts is a graduate of Texas Christian University.
