Mariya is a partner at Oliver Wyman and leads our Banking and Financial Services Practice in the Americas.
With more than 25 years of experience in both consulting and the banking industry, Mariya has worked with leading investment and universal banks worldwide.
She began her career at Oliver Wyman in 2004 and has held various leadership positions within the firm. Most recently, Mariya served as the head of the Americas Corporate and Institutional Banking practice, which experienced significant growth under her stewardship. She has also served as a member of Oliver Wyman’s Americas and Global Leadership Teams. Her professional banking industry experience includes roles in wholesale banking at Deutsche Bank and at Merrill Lynch.
Mariya advises senior executives in the banking and financial services industry across a range of issues, including business and client strategy, performance transformation, and regulatory remediation. She is a seasoned leader of large-scale change programs within the industry.
She was also the founding chair of the firm’s Global Leadership Team Council. The council comprises a diverse group of non-Partner colleagues who collaborate with the firm’s leadership, offering insights and perspectives on the firm’s vision, strategy, and operations.
Mariya holds a Master’s degree in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Dartmouth College.
She was named Working Mother Of The Year in 2018.
