He has spent his career participating in a wide range of strategy, product engineering, distribution, and finance engagements for leading retail banks in the United States and across the world. Aaron is a noted expert in two areas of sub-specialization: retail deposits and the evolution of financial services in the face of digital and data acceleration.
Since 2006, Aaron has been among the most referenced experts on retail deposits in the United States. He has spoken at a range of industry conferences, authored multiple papers, maintained a series of webcasts, and been widely quoted in both industry and broader media publications. He leads work in this area across the activity chain including deposit characterization, product design, and pricing and distribution management.
In 2013, Aaron authored Oliver Wyman’s flagship annual report on the state of the financial services industry. The report, “A Money and Information Business,” highlighted the historical importance of information to the financial services industry and detailed both opportunities and threats from emerging digital and data trends. Aaron is the head of Oliver Wyman Financial Services FinTech taskforce.
Aaron graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Economics from Binghamton University in 1999 and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He also studied Development Economics and Economic History at the London School of Economics.
